The last guy had horrible, unpopular ideas.  And yet he got some shit done because he didn’t spend anytime trying to cajole or bargain with any mother-fuckers.  If some shit didn’t work, he was already onto the next thing – he wasn’t mincing around apologizing and trying to make nice with people who hate his fucking guts.  

I resisted putting up a “Delta V” yesterday, but it is looking like our ability to eat out and walk around maskless is going to be short-lived.  “Remember early Summer 2021?  That was nice.”

Giving a massively wealthy Big Pharma company $19 in grants, because that’s what government does now.

MIDDLETOWN – A Delaware state investment board unanimously signed off on a $19 million taxpayer-funded grant to a Chinese pharmaceutical company Monday, clearing the way for a massive campus development in Middletown.

The grant, made to STA Pharmaceutical USA, a subsidiary of Shanghai-based WuXi AppTec, is the largest grant approval made during Gov. John Carney’s term, totaling nearly four times that given to Amazon for its massive Boxwood Road fulfillment center last year. It is the largest grant approved by the state since Bloom Energy was given $16.5 million to locate in Newark in 2011.

    You’ve got this all wrong. If the Republicans won’t pass the roads portion it will all go to reconciliation. Democrats, not Republicans, hold the cards. Not saying they won’t fuck it up, because that’s what Democrats do, just that the GOP is playing a weak hand.
