All the “good” Republicans
It is funny* to think about how much time and energy Coons has put into promoting the idea that some Republicans are the “good” ones.
For years this fantasy has allowed him to ignore all crimes, the voter suppression, the greedy-shitheadedness that it central to Republicanism. None of that terrible anti-American stuff matters because the silent majority of “good” ones will reveal their goodness in due time.
*sad funny, not haha funny
I mean, when you look at the modern GOP’s ideology Coons might as well be saying that all Nazi’s in Germany were not bad.
Coons’ whole political identity is bound up in the idea that there were some “good” members of the Nazi party who were keeping their powder dry, in order to reveal the true nature of Naziism at some opportune point.
With everything we know about the modern GOP, Coons’ zealotry is truly insane.
Sorry to keep beating this pulpified horse. Carry on.
Don’t worry, we can always use it to make scrapple. Carry on.
