OK, kids, you’ve seen the results of our poll on which Dem House member should be challenged. Tops on the list is Val Longhurst. Even moreso than toppling Speaker Pete, defeating Longhurst with a progressive would kause the kollapse of the Kop Kabal. Which reminds me, how long would she keep her job with the Police Athletic League if she could no longer deliver the $$’s to their coffers?
We need a hero or heroine to step up. She can be defeated. She’s less likeable than Patti Blevins, and an R defeated Blevins in that solidly-D district. Her district is large for a rep district, so there will likely be some pruning during redistricting. But, even if she seeks to get rid of Delaware City after running legislation to turn the area into a theme park, she’d be in trouble. Here’s her current district map.
So what’s with all this hero/heroine and trumpet stuff? The purpose is two-fold: (1) To encourage someone to step forward to challenge Longhurst by letting them know that we’ll have their back; and (2) To get the bad taste of Andrew Lloyd Webber out of my mouth by sharing this cool tune from (Al’s favorite?)
