Wanting Shameless People to Feel Shame

Filed in National by on October 17, 2021

Jess Scarene said something in the “Kathy on Kathy Violence” episode to Highlands Bunker that really hit the nail on the head.  I’ll make a mess of it, but essentially…

So much of our “accountability” for rich, well-connected people depends on them feeling shame – when they really have never felt shame and will never feel shame in the future.

Beyond KKMcG just think of Joe Biden waiting for Mitch McConnell to feel shame.  Consider how long this blog has been waiting for Chris Coons to feel shame.  It simply isn’t going to happen.   They’ve killed off whatever vestigial shame mechanism they were born with.

BTW – Listen to, subscribe to, and support the Highlands Bunker Podcast. Here is a new episode.  I’ll be listening to this afternoon.

With a potentially transformative bill moving through Congress right now, Professor Harvey J Kaye joins Rob in the virtual bunker to talk about how FDR was able to create and frame his New Deal, and what the role of presidential and grassroots leadership is in passing a bold agenda.

Similarly, the expectation that some of our elected officials understand what ethical behavior is and what it isn’t. When you hear phrases like: “Person X did the same thing or worse and nothing happened to them.” Or “It isn’t against the law.” They fundamentally do not understand and any type of principles-based enforcement is useless.

Don’t need a white girl from the highlands commenting on stuff, thank you though for the effort

Egotistical people are incapable of shame

To Scarene haters who have comments caught in moderation. Your IP may be flagged for some dumb bullshit you posted in the past. Thanks for reading and commenting.

In the many years I have been involved with this blog, the trolls all have something in common: They want to shit on others without having accomplished anything themselves.

Do they have blogs? Apparently not, or they’d link to them. Do they have any balls? Apparently not, or they’d sign their names (though we use screen names, our real names are known to anyone who cares to find out). Do they have anything intelligent to say? Apparently not, or they’d say it.

And my favorite is when they get upset about one of us telling them to fuck off. “You’re triggered!” they mewl, as if their original comments weren’t made because they themselves were triggered.

By their hypocrisy shall ye know them.
