Look at this FEMA flood zone map for Ft Dupont.   It would be funny if it were not so transparently corrupt and sickening.

Also check out the Delaware Call’s reporting on the Fort DuPont robbery.

No due diligence.  No oversight.  No workable business plan.  No shame.  Just a bunch of well connected people converting public assets into money and shoving that money into their pockets at a furious clip.

One can only conclude that Longhurst and Poore simply don’t give a fuck about looking corrupt as hell. Here is Cato the Elder on the topic, once more for good measure.

“Thieves of private property pass their lives in chains; thieves of public property in riches and luxury.”

I heard about 5 minutes of Chris Coons questioning Ketanji Brown Jackson yesterday.  He mentioned  two recent cases when Judge Jackson told Trump “I love you” and instructed liberals to go fuck themselves.  I guess his point was that Ketanji Brown Jackson will be a more conservative Justice than Clarence Thomas, and therefor Josh Hawley should vote for her.  I wonder if Chris Coons has ever heard Josh Hawley on the topic of Ketanji Brown Jackson’s fitness to serve on the Supreme Court?

Anyway, Coons is a very well liked, enormously respected figure in DC, so I guess he his his reason.

And oh yeah, I nearly forgot this part.  He used part of his time to tell Judge Brown about how he is able to work with Republicans (some of whom he disagrees vehemently with) on stuff in the spirit of bipartisanship.  It was cute the way he worked that in.

That’s an old map. Even if it has a recent date it does not reflect current ground conditions. The parade ground sits at native elevation, but all new buildings sit 4-6 feet above the flood plain, higher than most of downtown delaware city. I don’t agree with how they did it, but it’s incorrect to characterize the site as the underwater city.

Question: Are you concerned Republicans may be trying to play to the Q-anon base?

Sen. Chris Coons: “I wouldn’t understand what an appeal to the Q-anon base looks like. So if that’s what’s going on, I’m missing it. Because frankly, that’s not a frame that resonates with me.”

Gee, Chris, it probably looks a lot like Lauren Witzke, and you may have heard of her.

Thanks for this. Not knowing the ways of Q is an easy claim for Republicans and Coons to make because Q is such a sprawling web of craziness.

It is also a tough one for the media to fact check. Not that they would. They are merely court stenographers nowadays.
