1.  Rethugs Find Themselves An Auditor Candidate–And, Yes, She’s Out There.  No, she hasn’t filed for the ballot yet.  But she filed her campaign committee this week.  Her name is Janice Lorrah, and if her name is familiar, it should be.  She filed suit to end Carney’s school mask mandate. Not, you know, because she’s opposed to it, but she feels the rule of law must be followed. Or so she says.  She describes herself as a ‘stay-at-home momma and freedom fighter’.  She says that she’s a ‘health-care attorney’, and indeed she has practiced law.  Just not since she became a stay-at-home momma in March of 2015.

Need I point out that it doesn’t appear she’s done anything unethical, nepotistic, or possibly criminal, in her adult years?  Which sets her apart from the presumptive (since nobody from the moribund state Democratic Party structure seems willing to do anything about it) incumbent nominee Kathleen McGuiness.  Ordinarily, this RWNJ would have no chance.  But, with a bleepload of D’s who simply will not vote for the incumbent, and presumably D’s and I’s who will vote just to get rid of McGuiness, you could find this momma in the Auditor’s Office.  Democrats, per usual, would have nobody to blame but themselves.

2. Bill Bush Gets An R Challenger.  A different opponent than last time.  In 2020, Bush defeated R Robin Hayes by roughly a 56-44% margin.  One Marc Wienner  has filed a committee to run for that district.  He has not yet filed for the ballot. He describes himself as an ‘independent computer networking professional’.  It is not clear from his LinkedIn page that he’s worked since 2011.  He appears to be learning the guitar, based on this video from a Rethug gathering.  I can’t make this shit up.

3.  No Filings This Week.

Hey, I can only work with whatever pops up.  Maybe the holidays turned down the temperature on the political Hot Stove.

What’d I miss, and whaddayathink?
