Vince McMahon Steps Down From WWE. According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer, he had to step down, likely because there was a lot more dirt about to come out. A classic Wall Street announcement: Friday at 4:05 pm, right after the markets closed. He had total control of the creative content, which had totally sucked. We’ll see if it improves now.
What Happened When RWNJ’s Took Over A Cali County:
Anger over Covid-19 restrictions and vaccine mandates culminated in rowdy public meetings and vicious threats against officials. Both Donald Trump’s campaign to overturn the results of the 2020 election and the recall effort against California’s Democratic governor the following year found widespread support. And in February, voters threw their weight behind a recall campaign against one of the five county supervisors, effectively giving control of the local government to a majority backed by the area’s thriving far-right movement.
“Right now, we’re experiencing a brain drain of the best talent in the county,” said one local business owner, who asked to remain unnamed due to the “culture of political violence”. “People are literally sick to their stomach worried about what’s going to happen to their county departments.”
The conflict has been painful, Carroll said. “The pandemic was new for everybody and instead of community coming together for the good of all of us it made us all so much more divisive. They say when small communities experience a tragedy it brings them together. This was the opposite.”
“All the crazy that you can imagine, we unleashed on our community representatives,” said rideshare driver Dwight Gaylor, a lifelong Shasta resident about those months. “Some of your lifelong friends are out there chanting and you’re like ‘what is wrong with you?’ Why are we acting like this?”
This article is well worth reading.
Delaware State Senate To Begin Proceedings To Remove KMG On Monday. The buck ultimately stops with the House–and I think Pete will stop it there. I hope the Senate turns up the screws on The Kop Kabal to police malfeasance on the part of an elected public official. Apart from the strong possibility that the Kop Kabal could be deposed in November, I believe that Pete’s hold on the Speaker’s position has become much more tenuous due to his disappearing act. He’s clearly been compromised due to his long-time involvement with KMG. The question?: Does that involvement rise to the levels of the sort of compromised position that forced Vince McMahon out?
What do you want to talk about?
I really don’t understand Pete’s strategy here. I think at first he thought the calls for the convicted auditor to step down or be removed would just peter out. Then I thought that he would quietly signal to Kathy that she needed to spend more time wit the family.
Now that neither of those things happened, he is building an actual brand around total corruption, cronyism and protecting a CONVICTED state auditor who happens to be a political friend. What’s the upside for Pete that I’m missing?
I just don’t get.
What if she has enough dirt on him to sink his political career, and perhaps even worse?
She’d be the one pulling the strings. Is she? It would explain his inaction.
Releasing dirt on Pete might end his career, but it most certainly would end hers. Ask Janet Rzewnicki.
Good point. One could argue, though, that hers has already ended.
She doesn’t know that. She, like all Republicans, has been drinking her own Flavor Aid for a long time.
She DOES know, however, that, if Pete proceeds with any action against her in the House, she’s done.
Friends…. You are missing an item that is in plain sight. Speaker Pete will create no waves now…Kathy has nothing on him. She is already done.
He has one more election to win… then he would have been elected for 20 years. He know CAN collect more than one state pension. By rule, you can only get one state pension…unless also elected for 20 years.
Nice argument…… but he is completing his 10th term….. 20 years:)
Doh…. See what happens when you try to use Ockham’s Razor. Funny….now I’m on board with the theory? Maybe…
Nah…ok new theory…. He actually agrees with the Republicans of Senate…due process…blah blah blah…appeals…
Or….he “knows” that Kate looses the primary…then he gets to appease everybody….and he did nothing…
Or maybe he “knows” that he is loosing in the General Election…..
It’s refreshing to see someone acknowledge a mistake and move on. Nicely played.
Pete has always agreed with the Republicans in the Senate and House on nearly every issue/vote gun bills, climate bills, police reform, Charter School abuses, wealthy landowners over Manufactured home owners, PIT brackets, criminal justice reform (he supports and has said he supports no bail legislation) Nothing new here in the last dozen years. He is MAGA and proud of it. Rep. Kowalko
Or….(Pete) “knows” that (the CONVICTED state Auditor) looses the primary…then he gets to appease everybody….and he did nothing…
Reasonable. I think this takes the occams razor prize.
I think Pete stands to lose his Speakership even if we don’t flip enough seats–because of his unwillingness to take action. I think a majority of the Caucus would like him to do so and are probably pissed that he won’t.
I mean, that’s SOMETHING.
I don’t get it either, other then the usual games in Dover. At some point she’ll resign I’m hoping, but I could be happy by just seeing the end of the hated Kop Kabal.
I thought this was notable, not for what was said but for who said it: A hardline conservative Texas state senator told CNN that the state is an oligarchy run by two West Texas oil billionaires.
https://www.rawstory.com/texas-gop-billionaires-russian-oligarchs/
BTW, “oil billionaires” is the shortest possible description of what is wrong in our society.
I see all billionaires as products of “The Reagan Revolution ” that dramatically cut their taxes. And I think we all know they will try it again at some point.
SEE: Republican senators not happy with Dems’ plan to launch removal proceedings for Auditor McGuiness

Doug Rainey, who is not prone to conspiracy theories, writes – “My take: Election year politics and the state auditor –
It’s clear that we are seeing raw politics at work following a guilty verdict by a statewide officeholder.
On Thursday, Senate Republicans called for “due process” following a decision by Senate Democrats to begin the hearings that could lead to the removal of Delaware State Auditor of Accounts Kathy McGuiness………Republicans senators, all of who represent areas in McGuiness’ home territory of Kent and Sussex counties, released a letter stating that nothing should happen until sentencing or perhaps when her appeals are exhausted. McGuiness was convicted by a Kent County jury on three misdemeanor counts……..It leaves the state with a dilemma as the clock ticks down.
……..For Republicans, keeping McGuiness in office may improve their odds of returning a party member to the auditor’s post. Their stance is wrong on many levels.
Instead, every effort should be made by both parties and the business community to convince McGuiness to step down, remove the cloud that now hovers over a key statewide office and let the election process play out.”
The notion that someone can’t be punished until every appeal is exhausted is complete bullshit. Ask any number of people sitting in Delaware’s prisons.
Game. Set. Match.
Speaking of billionaires: Michael Steinhardt — yet another one we’ve never heard of — who made his fortune in “hedge funds.” Greedy and unscrupulous, “For decades, [he] displayed a rapacious appetite for plundered artefacts without concern for the legality of his actions, the legitimacy of the pieces he bought and sold, or the grievous cultural damage he wrought across the globe.” says Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance. The works were smuggled out of 11 countries by 12 different criminal networks. His punishment? Give back 180 pieces, and pinky swear never to buy antiquities again. I’ve gotten more than that for running a stop sign on Brandywine Boulevard. https://www.theartnewspaper.com/2021/12/07/collector-michael-steinhardt-surrenders-stolen-artifacts
