Attention, Dem Officeholders:  I don’t care if you just have to reach your fundraising goal–especially when you are either running unopposed or facing negligible opposition–especially when some of the money you’re raising gets passed through to Delaware Way types.  Which reminds me, for those of you considering runs for higher office down the line, selling out for Delaware Way candidates (oh, like, say, Deb Heffernan and Nnamdi) does not endear you to progressives who might otherwise be inclined to support you.  No, you don’t HAVE to back these types to prove you’re a ‘team player’.  You’re just saying to progressives that you’re on the wrong team.  You’re on the cops-can-do-no-wrong/anti-pot/pro-environmental racism/pro-corporate secrecy team. It has not gone unnoticed. If you continue to take your marching orders from Corporadems like Carper, Freel and Carney, then you’re on the Corporadem team.  It’s that simple.

One more note–there was an article this week where it was mentioned that John Carney signed something like 23 bills, at ceremonies up and down the state, in the last couple of weeks.  Every photo, every photo, I’ve seen, and there have been several, from these ceremonies prominently features Bethany Hall-Long, who had nothing to do with the passage of any of them.  Betcha she wasn’t in a photo of Carney vetoing the marijuana bill.  She’s utterly shameless.

Guess Who’s Pulling The Football Away This Time.  Yep, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema. Were she and Tulsi Gabbard separated at birth?

Homeland Security ‘Watchdog’ Was Fox Guarding Henhouse:

The Homeland Security watchdog now under scrutiny for his handling of deleted Secret Service text messages from the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol previously was accused of misleading federal investigators and running “afoul” of ethics regulations while he was in charge of a Justice Department inspector general field office in Tucson, according to a newly disclosed government report.

In the 2013 report from the Justice Department’s inspector general, which was never publicly released, investigators said they did “not believe” Joseph V. Cuffari’s explanation for why he failed to inform his supervisors — against federal rules — about his testimony in a lawsuit brought by a federal prisoner.

Separately, they found that Cuffari broke ethics rules by referring law firms to the prisoner’s family, including firms where some of his close friends worked. “We concluded Cuffari’s actions violated the [inspector general] manual’s prohibition on unethical conduct,” said the report, which also noted that he may have violated guidelines by using his government email to lobby for a position as inspector general for the Arizona National Guard, among other issues.

An internal team recommendedreferring Cuffari to the inspector general’s investigations unit for a deeper review of his actions, the report said — but he quickly retired and the following month joined the administration of then-Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer (R) as a policy adviser for public safety.

Rethug Senate Candidates Have A ‘Dobbs’ Problem.  Let’s first start with the initial reaction from while male pundits that, at most, the Dobbs decision would have a negligible political impact.  I mean, who better to understand the political impact of Dobbs than white male pundits?  Rethug candidates exulted at the decision. Now?  Well, Ted Budd (NC), Dr. Oz (Pa.), J. D. Vance (OH), Ron Johnson (Wisc.), Herschel Walker (Ga.), and Blake Masters (AZ) will have to live with their words. Or die by them.

I Support The Death Penalty–For Alex Jones.  A man who gleefully and relentlessly attacked the parents of Sandy Hook victims–and monetized his behavior.

Welcome Back, Your Dreams Were Your Ticket Out.  Nostalgic for the days of the driftwood grifter and his raw sewage soup?  When you can’t even market your muddled views in the toxic waste dump of rural South Carolina, might as well retreat to the safety of a write-in campaign against–Sarah McBride?  Yep, paperwork was filed for Elect Walker 2022 on Monday.  Scott(y) Walker now (allegedly) lives in an apartment in the Bellefonte area.  It’s near a couple of bars, so he should quickly reassume the lifestyle to which he had become accustomed. Although–Stanley’s could be a trip too far, hope he can afford an Uber.

What do you want to talk about?

WRDE, a small television station out of Milton, DE broadcast an interview with Kathy McGuiness last night. Nothing really new, but may be of interest to some. (25 minutes)

I watched about half and heard all of the greatest hits plus:

      >Knocking on doors in the heat is hard, but do I complain? No.

      >I’m not convicted, I’ve been found guilty by a jury.

      >I would have found me guilty too. But they cheated, Brady violations, blah blah blah.

These are close but probably not direct quotes.

“Sen. Kyrsten Sinema signs off on Democrats’ big agenda bill, paving the way for Senate passage”

Sen. Kyrsten Sinema signed off on sweeping Democratic legislation Thursday addressing climate change, health care and taxes, all but ensuring passage of the bill in the Senate.

The Arizona Democrat said her support came after Democrats removed a provision on closing the so-called carried interest tax loophole that helps wealthy private equity and hedge fund managers pay lower taxes.

Hard not to notice the now sacred “Carried Interest” game has survived yet again, and miracle of miracles it’s Sinema as the spoiler. Bet the Wall St. money is just pouring in foe her.
