Early voting is great. Having said that I spent some time driving voters to the Shipyard shops. It is not a convenient location for most residents of either the First or Second RD. There are many locations in the city that could have been chosen that are within walking distance of at least some voters and on a primary bus line for others. An unfortunate choice.
Good point. Quick Q – Once there, how was the process? How does it work? Do they have different voting machines for ED in that district?
I voted last week. Since the machines are electronic, they will present the ballot that you would be presented with if you went on 9/13. It couldn’t have been easier.
I have not yet gone inside but the voters said it was smooth. I plan to vote on one of my trips tomorrow. I’m guessing that the machines are the same and they the ballot is based on each voter’s address
Early voting is DA BOMB!!
My wife and I just voted at Claymont Community Center. Signage was great.
In and out in 5 minutes. Computerized, so the ballot we got (with only the Auditor’s race on it) was the correct ballot.
Only thing I couldn’t figure out was, why were there so many people sitting at the tables? Can’t imagine any campaigns having checkers there, especially since there are so few races in Brandywine Hundred.
Regardless, a GREAT experience. The staff was very professional and friendly.
No more waiting until Election Day for me.
