By now everyone knows that Chris Coons labored tirelessly to seat as many Trump appointed judges as possible. He even worked overtime during a lame duck session in November 2020 AFTER Trump had lost the election. But nobody has ever asked him why?

Why did he work his ass off with Mitch McConnell? Why did he toil for the four years Trump was in to help seat a record number of Trump judges? What did he get out of it? What motivated him to work so hard on that project?

I’m not sure his baseline mewling obsequiousness and overweening desire to please his Republican Daddies explains is all. There may be a bigger story there. There must be.

In case you didn’t see it, about an hour ago Judge Aileen Cannon, Southern District of Florida, granted the request for a special master and enjoined DOJ from any further use of the seized materials until the review is completed. This was an injunction Trump’s lawyers didn’t even request. Cannon was confirmed 56-21 with TWELVE DEMOCRATS voting yes. Guess who two of them were? This occurred during a lame duck session in November 2020 AFTER Trump had lost the election.

What if the Convicted State Auditor wins in September and wins in November?

Should Carney wait until after the election in November to remove McGuiness? If he removes her prior to the election can he re-remove her after the election?

Shouldn’t the office of auditor be filled by someone who hasn’t been convicted of the very crimes the auditor’s office is tasked with uncovering and rooting out?

So many questions.

Setting aside Coons DINO behavior, the special Master doesn’t phase me. Legal Eagle on YouTube has a good description of their role and, as I recall, the DOJ gets to appoint the Master. They’ve already gone through the documents for any that might fall under attorney client privilege, so the Rump legal team was weeks late with its motions. If there is any ‘win’ here it’s as hollow as they come. Besides, the judge could be aware enough to close avenues for argument in the future. When, I hope, Rump gets perp-walked out of that swamp, the involvement of a Master will be another arrow the DOJ will have to torpedo any claims of improper use of private documents.

The precedent has been set. Anyone currently accused of a crime or thinks they may be in the future can just declare their candidacy for elected office to avoid investigation or prosecution.

The convicted state auditor’s campaign signs look just like McCormick seasonings’ logo.

Also someone should make a bunch of large “Convict” stickers at slap those bad boys on the signs…. I mean no, that’s illegal

Pennsylvania U.S. Senate candidate Mehmet Oz (R) was asked on a radio show in 2014 if people having sex with their cousins was acceptable, Jezebel reports.

Said Oz: “If you’re more than a first cousin away, it’s not a big problem.”

Sadly, this will only help him secure the vote from Central Pennsylvania.

Well, you know, he married into the duPont family.

Growing up in DE it was always understood that the family had to set up A.I. duPont Children’s Hospital to handle their inbreeding deficits. Very cool that it was free for all families way back when.

I’m a bit surprised to see that nobody has an uniformed guess about how shit will go down if the convicted auditor wins.

I suppose nobody wants to entertain the possibility of that happening.

Itll be a preview for what happens when a person under indictment for treason is installed as president-elect by a gerrymandered congress.

Had dinner last night with a retired CIA man. The fact that operatives were outed and killed thanks to Trump and Kushner is, shall we say, not popular with the people in the trenches.

Well then? I’ve read enough Tom Clancy books to know that they have tools of persuasion.

But seriously folks, Ive been wondering why corporations and the “deep state” have been on the sideline.

Corporations can’t see the downside of getting rid of the Republic as we know it? Ok, they are notoriously shortsighted.

But what about the Deep State? If it is as powerful as it is made out to be, the Deep State sure like keeping its powder dry for some reason.
