I Finally Cut The Cord! No, not cable, not yet, although that’s coming soon. I finally unsubscribed from the Team LBR e-mail list that, come to think of it, I’d never subscribed to in the first place. I figured that, as a District committee person, I should give the incessant begging the benefit of the doubt. But Lisa Blunt Rochester’s relentless barrage proved to be too much. About half of the e-mails warn of the dire threat that GoMurphGo represents to the Department of Education, as if he had a fraction of a scintilla of an iota of a chance of winning. The others borrow a tactic from the ShopRite Kennys: Give me money, I’ll pocket part of it, and I’ll dole out the rest of the money you gave me so that I can collect political chits in the House Democratic Caucus. By giving it to people I want to win. Enough. You’re on mute. Blahblahblah. I can’t hear you. Not to mention, THERE’S A FUCKING PRIMARY ON TUESDAY. CAN’T YOU WAIT AT LEAST UNTIL WEDNESDAY TO STOP DIVERTING FUNDS FROM THOSE RACES?? ARE YOU PLANNING TO SPEND THE WEEKEND CAMPAIGNING WITH LYDIA YORK AT THE BRANDYWINE ARTS FEST?? IF NOT, WHY NOT??
Aaah, I feel so much better now. Nothing like a cleansing catharsis to start the day. Feeling better from The Covid, too, but still testing positive.
GOP Forced To Roll Back Most Virulent Anti-Abortion Measures. What happens when firebrands face blowback:
At the same time, efforts to advance a strict nationwide ban in Congress have quietly fizzled. After pushing for a national “heartbeat ban” on abortion in the spring — which would have outlawed the procedure as soon as cardiac activity is detected, around six weeks of pregnancy — Republican lawmakers and some antiabortion advocates have retreated from the idea. Some legislators are now pushing for a 15-week ban; others have abandoned any kind of national abortion legislation.
Mississippi To Black Residents: No Drinking Water For You. Yo, Joe, send in every possible resource to end this unconscionable situation. This story should be leading every major newscast:
Residents in Jackson, the majority-Black capital city of Mississippi, now have water coming out of their taps once again, but are still having to boil it before drinking, as they have had to intermittently for years.
It is a step forward from the situation last week, when floods overwhelmed the city’s dilapidated main water treatment plant and essentially interrupted water supply across the entire city, affecting more than 160,000 residents.
Even though emergency efforts have restored running water, questions linger over whether a more lasting solution will materialize. Some of the city’s pipes are roughly a century old, and Jackson is also the target of ongoing lawsuits from residents who say its old lead pipes poisoned them and stunted their growth as children.
Headline Of The Day: “Newark Man Drives Into Ocean, Charged With DUI”.
What do you want to talk about?
Banning abortion has been the playground of the Republicans for decades, now their waking up to abortion as popular, even in red states like Kansas. They find themselves criticized and condemned for not allowing abortion for rape, the life of the mother and that red state favorite incest. November will be extremely interesting, BS spewing politicians and pundits or not.
Yeah, several of them are ‘scrubbing’ their sites. Take Blake Masters. Please:

Guess they never heard of ‘screen shots’.

Joseph Connor Grow up. It was a celebration of 60 years of Funland and a truly iconic family. And yes it is where I should be seen.
