Turns out that business of moving migrants from border states to northern cities might not be as cute as Trump and his orc-governors thought. Turns out it might be illegal.

Turns out the stunt isn’t even original. The racist White Citizens Council first pulled the stunt in 1962 as a “Reverse Freedom Ride.” The whole thing is, of course, predicated on the idea that everyone else hates Blacks and immigrants as much as Republicans do, but it’s a mark of how degraded this shithole country has become that governments are now taking up the practice.

The Department of Justice has again appealed to regain access to the 100 or so top-secret documents Trump stole. Will the Department of TrumpJustice grant it? Magic 8-Ball says: Very doubtful. Sarcastic 9-Ball says: You wish.

It destroys the Democratic coasts and drives disheartened Manhattanites westward to wander lost and confused in Ohio, their sophistication shredded, their street smarts useless. The Obamas will lose their place on Cape Cod and move to Omaha. Ms. Ocasio-Cortez will wind up in Topeka and go back to bartending. The fashion industry will move to Des Moines and polyester plaids will make a big comeback. Broadway will, of course, settle in Oklahoma –– where else?

This one’s a few days old, but it’s just too funny not to include in our archives: While Russian forces skedaddled in Ukraine, Vladimir Putin was staging the grand opening of a giant ferris wheel in Moscow. It broke down the next day, which I guess makes it a Potemkin wheel.
