The Queen died hours after meeting her, and the nation emerged from mourning only to see Truss announce a massive tax cut for the rich. The country now heads into one of its famously grim winters during a cost-of-living crisis. The first major poll is out, and her approval rating is at 15%.

Such is the case for the genius of “supply side economics”, sad to see the Brits taking up this stupid and endlessly disproved insanity to heart. But!
