I’d add that for people like Stuart Comstock-Gay, it is ONLY ever Democrats who have agency when it comes to “being more civil” or compromising more.
He has internalized the view of the media, that Republicans are morally and intellectually inert. Barley sentient. Therefor exempt from politely asking “How did you come by that opinion?”
