I listened to Delaware House & Senate Republicans “reaction” to the State Address by Governor Carney so you don’t have to

Hocker opened up slurring through some nonsense that I couldn’t really make out.  Is he drunk or having a stroke?  If it’s a stoke, I don’t want to make too much fun of him. I’m decent that way.

Pettyjohn agrees with Carney on everything, but wants Delaware to shove money into the bank accounts of multi-national companies even faster and with even less oversight.  Turning Delaware into the anti-regulation paradise “just like Texas” appears to be  Pettyjohn’s obsession.  (His campaign for Gov tag line?  Spoiler Alert: It is going to be tough to run to the right of Bethany Hall Long on the issue of making the state an even bigger corporate patsy.)

Ramone wants to know what you, the typical Delawarean, want him to do while in office.  Beyond perhaps asking a min-wage trainee lifeguard, “What are signs someone is having a stroke?”   I got the impression that Ramone did’t listen to the address, or prep for this video at all.   Old “Phone it in Ramone” strikes again!

Yearick closed it out with some bullshit GOP talking points about how tax money is still the people’s(!) money even when they turn it over to the state, and the state uses it to provide essential services.  Just like when you buy something at WALMART.  That’s still YOUR money, no matter what the gol’ dang Walton family says!   So, Lukas Walton!! Stop spending MY money on whores & drinks for Chris Coons at Davos, you motherfucker!!

Mike – Next time if you think Hocker might be stroking out remember: F.A.S.T

Face: Smile and see if one side of the face droops.

Arms: Raise both arms. Does one arm drop down?

Speech: Say a short phrase and check for slurred or strange speech.

Time: If the answer to any of these is yes, call 911 right away and write down the time when symptoms started.

Not counting Brian Pettyjohn’s google search history, is there anything as disgusting as Davos?

No.

That was easy.  Also, I wonder if Coons paid the $250,000 to attend or if that was picked up by some CEO/Coons fanboy?   Also easy.

Davos Attendees Davos the Davos of Davos and Davos more Davos

…the roster of Davos attendees is a veritable OZY Fest poster of the evil, the insufferable, and the extraordinarily dull. Semafor reporters spotted Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff, fresh off a set of major layoffs, schmoozing with former GOP Rep. Paul Ryan at a place called Goals House, run by conservative PR guy Matthew Freud, who once fathered and hid a secret child from his then wife, one of Rupert Murdoch’s daughters. They also clocked Sen. Kyrsten Sinema—who, in a possible biblical reference, dressed in sheep’s clothing—at a party hosted by Anthony Scaramucci, who briefly served as White House comms director under Donald Trump. For some reason, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp was at Davos, too, and attended “Korea Night.” I would take great pains to avoid any place where I might even accidentally run into these people. Can you imagine spending hundreds of thousands of dollars ($250,000) for the privilege of meeting them?

Attendees reportedly also socialize in private chat groups on WhatsApp, Telegram, and Signal, including one called “Burning Man at Davos.” I had never considered the potential intersection of these two events, or what kinds of individuals might lie therein, but the prospect of encountering them makes me want to thrust my head into a wood chipper.

For Republicans, this is no different than forcing a 14 year old rape victim to have a baby, or smoking cigars and blowing the smoke in the face of Nancy Pelosi.  It’s all for the LOLz.

DeSantis Assholery for Assholery’s Sake

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) is facing criticism after his administration rejected an Advanced Placement African American Studies course from being taught in Florida schools, the latest curriculum-related action by the governor to draw fierce backlash.

The DeSantis administration made the move earlier this month, when it sent a letter to the College Board Florida Partnership arguing that “the content of this course is inexplicably contrary to Florida law and significantly lacks educational value.” The letter didn’t name which law the course purportedly violated, and the state’s Department of Education did not clarify that matter when asked by The Hill.

Similar to what happened in Middletown De last year except in Middletown it was the Taco Bell that everyone quit en mass, not the town government.

Who could have predicted?  Republican Paradise Turning into Mogadishu  Style Hell Hole

A staffing shortage and mass resignation has forced the shutdown of Godley City Hall. On Thursday, a series of white signs hung on the municipal building’s doors on West Railroad Avenue. One cites the closure as a result of a staffing shortage. Another requests packages be taken to the fire department across the street. The third tells residents with water and sewer emergencies to contact the police department, which could get in touch of the public works department. It lists three places to file complaints: the police department, the Attorney General’s Office and the Secretary of State.

Davos Epilogue

Ian Bremmer thought Coons was the Chancellor of Germany.  Coons did nothing to disabused Bremmer of that thought.  They danced into the night and were married in a secret ceremony prior to consummating  the relationship as dawn broke, golden, crisp and clear, over the Alps.

Here is the picture of Scholz.
