The denial dog that never barked
Fox News has fully exposed itself as the for profit propaganda arm of the GOP. Democrats are now free to stop pretending that it is “news” in a traditional sense.(Yes – I’m looking at you, Coonsie) Even members of the media fraternity are now saying that Fox News propaganda arm of the GOP. But here is the interesting thing – nobody in the GOP or at Fox News denies it. They are candid – Fox News isn’t a news service, its a propaganda service.
No defenders of Fox have risen and attempted to make the case that Fox News is legitimate news. Steve Bannon simply says that they are part of the GOP and a part that should be be doing a better job electing Republicans.

All of these propaganda sources have always promoted themselves as such. They are no different than pro wrestling promotions that have acknowledged their reality for decades. This is how WWE Hall of Famers are elected to the highest office in the land. The general public are the marks.
I recall that when WWE testified in court that it was fake, it didn’t cause a stir. (They had to in order to move into New Jersey which had sports betting prior to other states.)
When Jim Baker admitted in court that his ministry was a money making racket, his defense team rounded up followers to testify that they knew and were ok with it. It’s all the same impulse. Please be quiet and allow me to live in my fantasy world.
And CPAC has started, so the con continues:
(What we think of as the American conservative movement is basically the accretion of tactics) designed to corral the easily fleeceable multitudes all in one place—and create in them a mindset that makes it impossible for them discern where the ideological con ends and the money con begins.
I’d add that as those tactics wear out from overuse there is constant pressure to find the next ACORN or the next Anthony Faucci, and shove some new person or group into the media meat grinder with even newer more shrill claims of debauched satanism.
