General Assembly Post-Game Wrap-Up/Pre-Game Show: Thursday, March 30, 2023
OK, I’m confused (said Captain Obvious). Until it’s adjusted, here is today’s Senate Agenda. No bills, but a message reading as follows: “The Senate will reconvene on Tuesday, March 30, 2023, at 2:15 PM.” Would it be impolitic of me to point out that there is NO SUCH DATE? A glitch, no doubt. I’ll update if/when there’s something to update.
Here is yesterday’s Session Activity Report. Far it be for me to use sexual analogies (he lied), but it’s as if the General Assembly achieved collective climax on Tuesday, with Wednesday and Thursday being equivalent to a post-coital cigarette and a therapeutic nap. If you find something–stimulating–in this Session Activity Report, please share.
Today’s House Agenda defines unstimulating, as does the contents of this piece.
I’ve shot my analytical wad for the day. But not prematurely.
The Senate has now corrected today’s date. Glad someone over there reads us. No agenda, though.
SB51 Styrofoam (Paradee/Baumbach) passed favourably out of committee (5-0).
Sen. Paradee has promised that it will receive a Senate vote next week.
As usual, the House is likely where the impediments will–impede.
Suggestions for a senate agenda: Trying to obtain state money for your “friends”, hiring you relatives in the grand tradition of Delaware Nepotism, arranging a “variance” to let your developer of choice do as they damn well please. And then depending where in the state they are at, as in western Sussex, Gawd and the bible.
