The comment below, by Former Representative John Kowalko, reminded me of Chomsky’s observation that journalism cannot be a check on corporate power because the very system that produces journalists encourages complicity. Journalist themselves are the product of a lengthy vetting process to ensure only people who stick to the corporate line get to ask any questions.
Similarly, can anyone who isn’t some version of Rick Geisenberger, Cerron Cade or Claire DeMatteis even get close to real policy making?
Will you replace the current Secretary of Finance (Geisenberger) and Director of OMB (Cade) and Secretary of Human Resources (DeMatteis) if elected? Anything less than an unequivocal yes disqualifies the candidate.
