I’m beginning to get the feeling that Republicans really don’t care that Trump is fully owned by foreign governments.
Just as the rich seek to use their money to buy laws and politicians so too the Saudi’s use their astounding wealth to gain influence, and own their own stable of American politicians. A third party audit would be nice, none of us will live to see it.
Republicans don’t care if anyone is fully owned by anybody. That’s their grift. Makin money is all they care about. Everyone is all up in arms about who paid santos bail. Who cares? Nothing will come of it.
This is the issue i have with the pga/liv merger. it gives the saudis direct access to a US non-profit to funnel money into without any concern as to where that money comes from. billions of saudia, russian china funds can now be laundered directly into a us institution
Professional sports ownership has had dubious sources of financing for over a century. Entertainment and leisure have always been exceptional money laundering tools.
The travesty is that any of that sort of shit is non-profit. Pay your fucking taxes, deadbeats.
