It’s Sarah McBride on Pod Save America Day!

They gave the gay best friend from every romcom, Jon Lovett, the McBride Interview.  (Not Delaware born, Dan Pfeiffer, who they often joke about returning to run against Coons.)

McBride is her usual steady as a rock centrist that you could feel okay bringing home to your far left parents.   Lovett asks the questions that you’d expect the national media to ask. Mainly, how are you going to work with the Republican A-holes that comprise the majority.   She is interviewed in the last segment, so you can skip to that, or just listen tot he whole thing and submit to the Pod.

I’ve been assimilated by the Pod Save America Borg for about a year now, so you won’t hear me complaining about how it skews toward centrist dipshitery.  Nor will you bait me into saying that only the horrors of Trump keep them from going full Clinton.   Nope.

Instead, if it comes up at all, you’d probably hear me my robotic voice talking about how Pod Save America is a no-bullshit conversation about politics hosted by former Obama aides Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, Dan Pfeiffer, and Tommy Vietor.  And that it cuts through the noise to break down the week’s news and helps people figure out what matters and how they can help.

Hey, lookie here.  A state republican party even worse off than the DEGOP.

Minnesota GOP has just $53 in the bank with $334,000 in debt: FEC filing

Minnesota has not voted Republican in a presidential contest in over 50 years — the longest any state in the entire country has gone without doing so. But the GOP has still managed to elect a number of noteworthy Republicans from the state, from Rep. Tom Emmer, who previously chaired the GOP’s congressional fundraising arm to former Rep. Michele Bachmann, who recently argued that slavery was not “sinful.”

Years and years of major losses, however, appear to have taken their toll on the party, as it is now almost completely broke.

According to the latest filings with the Federal Election Commission, the Republican Party of Minnesota has just $53.81 in the bank — not even enough money to buy a single Amazon Fire tablet with Prime Day discounts applied. By contrast, the party is reporting almost $334,000 in debts.

Cliffhanger Watch:  Will this rogue supreme court make it illegal to collect taxes from the super-rich?

Not much of a cliffhanger actually.
