BREAKING: Wagner Boss Prigozhin Killed In Plane Crash?

At least 10 people died in the crash of a Wagner-linked private plane outside Moscow, according to Russia’s emergency services. Prigozhin, who led a failed mutiny in June, was on the plane’s manifest, according to state-run outlet RIA, citing the country’s aviation authority.
Was this ‘accident’ premeditated? Was he on another plane? Looks like other Wagner Group leaders were also on the plane. Updates as they come.

this guy has been dead so long that “he went to Belarus” has replaced “he went to live on a farm” as the new metaphor for putting the dog down.
I don’t understand his thinking. He had a successful coup going and he may have died in it. So why, knowing Putin, would he stop it?
The talking heads said that he wasn’t fomenting a coup against Putin. Rather, he was PO’d at the military leaders who, he said (a) were utterly incompetent; and (b) weren’t giving him enough weapons.
Yeah. He was dead from day 1 of that episode. Should have pressed on.
There’s actually a video of the plane crash, a wing either shot off or blown off by onboard explosives, supposedly the rest that died were the high ups of the Wagner Group. Pretty much an enemy of Putin extinction plot, beats months of falling out thirty story windows. Although the clean up is about the same.
Putin’s first public statement on Prigozhin:
“He achieved the results he needed both for himself and…for the common cause.”
I imagine in Russian that means something like “He got what he had coming to him.”
A lot was lost in translation.
