Brace yourselves for a tsunsami of Trump-in-court news this week as the human colostomy bag faces deadlines and hearings in three of the legal cases against him. I predict those tiny thumbs will get an unprecedented workout as he spews his pixelated spittle all week long.
The best thing about having a death cult as the opposition is that it kills its members. New research found that treating COVID with hydroxychloroquine, as recommended by their cult leader, led to a higher mortality rate, translating to at least 17,000 unnecessary deaths. The number of deaths might be much higher – the study only included six countries and a limited timeframe, from March to July 2020.
Speaking of science deniers, what if Donald Trump is only the second-most-fucked-up candidate in the 2024 presidential race? Hi, hypercreep nepo baby RFK Jr.! The vaccine denialist announced a birthday party-fundraiser with some big names: Mike Tyson, Martin Sheen and Dionne Warwick, with entertainment by Andrea Bocelli. Just one problem: All four have said they won’t be there.
America’s decades-long border crisis could get worse soon. Texas enacted state laws that violate the federal Constitution by assuming state authority over immigration. Immigrant-rights groups sued immediately, but that’s just what Gov. Greg Abbott (R-Sociopathy) wants. He’s counting on the case making it to the Supreme Court, where he’s banking on the Trump Court to overrule precedent to rewrite the law. I’m starting to wonder if some of those robes are covering wear Nazi regalia.
Robert Reich sounds the klaxon about America’s fascism-funding billionaires and their increasing donations to Trump. If Trump were an actual populist, he’d be doxxing everyone on that list.
Just to illustrate the highly normal times we live in, last week Democrats issued a report showing that Trump took millions from foreign governments during his time in office. They documented more than $7.8 million spent at his businesses, mainly from China, despite having access to only a small set of Trump Organization records. Republicans pooh-poohed the report, and as a result, so did the “liberal media.”
The floor’s yours.
Heard on the (union) job site
“Just string up plenty of fencing, multilingual signage, pictographs, and put landmines on the border. It will only take a few amputations to get these people to realize they aren’t wanted here. If we are feeling generous we collect them in camps and run them in trains up to the Canadian border. We already have plenty underemployed dumb labor on the welfare roles, no sense to import more”
Sounds like we have a lot of dumb labor on our job sites, too.
Since tomorrow’s the first day of session, that means the Delaware legislature gets back to its serious business and Republicans are up to their evil tricks and digging in on wedge issues. One of the priorities for Republcians this year is to ban the practice of dressing up and identifying as an animal, otherwise known as being a furry. They’re specifically targeting students in schools all because there’s a kid in the choir at Padua who identifies as a cat and a student in Appo who identifies as a dog and barks at their classmates. And they’ve been gaining traction as they’ve apparently teamed up with the holier than thou Reverand Chris Bullock who is puoshing for this bill after advocates approached several members of the Dem caucus last year asking for accommodations in schools for these students.
We need a law for that? It can’t just be school policy that you don’t wear a costume to school?
Who are these advocates, and what are the accommodations requested? This sounds like a Chris Bullock make-me-up
I call 100% bullshit on this:
“They’re specifically targeting students in schools all because there’s a kid in the choir at Padua who identifies as a cat and a student in Appo who identifies as a dog and barks at their classmates.”
Where the link to your sister’s friend’s cousin’s reporting?
