Song of the Day 7/17: Tom Waits, “Circus”

I haven’t tuned in to the Republican National Convention, but I imagine it’s very much like Tom Waits described his circus in this cut from 2004’s “Real Gone.” Waits doesn’t play piano on any track on the LP, but he does play the background music here on a keyboard instrument – the chamberlin, a precursor to the mellotron.
