Trump cut short his Q&A session in Oaks, Pa., yesterday to – I’m not making this up – stand there and sway to the music. For, like, half an hour. “Let’s not do any more questions. Let’s just listen to music,” he told the crowd. “Who the hell wants to hear questions?” It’s becoming clear that the GOP plan is to elect this husk of a human and then replace him with that younger husk of a human, JD Vance.

What does it take to induce someone to work for Trump? In the case of his campaign manager, Chris LaCivita, the answer is “$22 million.” I’m starting to get the impression that every MAGAt is just another grifter looking to score.

We don’t think of India as an autocratic country run by murderous right-wingers, but Canada knows better. It expelled a bunch of Indian diplomats because, Canadian police say, agents of India’s government are killing and harassing Sikh activists in Canada. Who does Modi think he is, Putin?

A Space X rocket carrying a probe that will explore Jupiter’s watery moon Europa launched successfully yesterday. Don’t hold your breath waiting for its findings – it won’t get there until 2030.

The floor’s yours.

ive been saying for a while now that trump is a useful idiot patsy. the ones supporting him know that the cult will only follow him so they prop him up to have the best chance of implementing their 2025 agenda. IF he were elected i think his backers would assassinate him to move vance in. and the media wants him to win becuase they wont have to do their jobs they can just retype what he tweets and says and that will be their “news”

Sad agreement, Trump is a pawn and as noted likely to be either be neutered or sacrificed as needed, and the replacement is the evil mascara menace we call Vance. And like Alby I would not be surprised to see the 25th amendment invoked.

Spotlight Delaware has a Karl Baker story up about Michael Bloomberg funding a flurry of last-minute Meyer ads with a $250,000 donation to the Change Can’t Wait PAC in the closing days of the contest.

That Oaks Q&A was so long and so bonkers I was wondering if the NYT would be able to sane wash it. No need to wonder:

And so Mr. Trump, a political candidate known for improvisational departures, made a detour. Rather than try to restart the political program, he seemed to decide in the moment that it would be more enjoyable for all concerned — and, it appeared, for himself — to just listen to music instead.

    They fucking love the guy.

The music was probably better than the same old shit he spews.

You’re not wrong, but there were a lot of low- energy choices… Nothing Compares 2 U, Ave Maria multiple times, Memories from Cats…?

  6. ‘Memories from Cats’?

    YIKES!

Of course, there’s always another court, another lawsuit…
