…a 10-year-old kid at the amusement park who went on the roller coaster and threw up, then went on the merry-go-round and didn’t throw up but just went around in circles and it wasn’t exciting. So let’s try the roller coaster again!

The kid actually wanted to get off the merry go round early but his mom said “stay”. Then the merry go round broke down so the mom dragged the kid over to spinning swings. The kid wanted to go on the bumper cars rides but his mom told him this was all he was allowed to do. The kid was feeling vengeful defiant and ran over to the roller coaster line at the last minute to hop back on.

Factz, what should have happened then? You obviously have it figured out. Being “well off” and such. Please. Tell us. Other than running an old white guy (I assume you are in that cohort as well), any ideas?

      • Factz says:

Dems should have been operating under the assumption that Biden was acting as a caretaker and that they would be able to run a fresh face in ‘24. They had 3 years to background check and groom a candidate, ideally a 40-something combat veteran who could make Trump look soft.

Barring that, the DNC should have held an open convention. Josh Shapiro would have been a better choice than Kamala and would have won PA. Kamala arguably did worse than biden with the black vote because she reads as deeply inauthentic due to her role as a prosecutor and the way in which she carries herself

Sweet summer child. Josh Shapiro wouldn’t have made a lick of difference. Polling shows us that as does common sense.

Feel like you think women are the problem and trump voters do too obviously. But just wait until you ask them about Jews.

          • Factz says:

All the metrics had Harris as the “correct pick”. But the metrics were not rooted in common sense.

Maybe you can explain the snide “women and Jews” comment a bit more thoroughly.

America is .. .. well and truly fucked.

Painful as it promises to be, it will be endlessly fascinating to see how it works out.

And of course everyone still dies in the end.

Prefer to ask the question what are your plans for living in a Fascist state? Complete with a senile madman at the helm. And an army of Fascist behind him chomping at the bit to control, jail or murder all who dare to disagree. I will fight on in old age, and do not rule out a trip to a “reeducation” camp, or merely death at the hands of the Gestapo. Write this down, this is hell aborning.

My plan is to spend a lot more time in France, away from American media. One of the best things about life there is that Trump’s face doesn’t stare out at you from every newspaper and web site, like Orwell’s Big Brother.

It probably will, once the US start distancing from NATO.
