Supreme Court To Trump: ‘You Can Fire Everybody’.  Fascism On The March:

For weeks, thousands of federal employees have been waiting for the Supreme Court to make a decision about their continued employment with the government. On Tuesday, they got their answer: The Trump administration could move ahead with mass layoffs.

The question of whether the layoffs are legal remains unanswered. For now, workers remain in limbo, this time waiting for their agencies to decide who stays, who goes and when.

So.  The Supreme Court rules that Trump can legally fire people w/o ruling on whether the firings are legal.  I, uh, think we can all see where this is heading.   The Supreme Court remains a Trump rubber-stamp.

Trump’s Ag Secretary Advocates Return To Slavery:

Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said millions of adult Medicaid participants who will face stricter work requirements under the GOP megabill should replace foreign farm workers deported under the Trump administration’s immigration policies.

“There will be no amnesty,” Rollins said Tuesday during an event at USDA headquarters highlighting the administration’s efforts to strengthen farm and national security policy. “The mass deportations continue, but in a strategic way, and we move the workforce towards automation and 100 percent American participation.”

“With 34 million people, able-bodied adults on Medicaid, we should be able to do that fairly quickly,” she added, referencing Medicaid participants currently in the program who don’t yet meet the reconciliation package’s new work requirements.

It won’t work.  Here’s why:

While speaking in Washington, D.C., Rollins declared that there would be “no amnesty” for immigrant farm workers despite President Donald Trump saying just days ago that he was willing to let these workers stay at their jobs.

The idea that there are 34 million “able-bodied adults” on Medicaid who can be easily relocated to work picking crops is pure fantasy. In the first place, an estimated 64% of American adults who receive Medicaid already work, and most of those adult recipients who don’t have jobs are either primary caregivers, are attending school, or have an illness or disability that prevents them from working.

Oh.

Trump ‘Looking At’ Fed Takeovers of DC And NYC:

President Donald Trump said Tuesday he’s weighing a federal takeover of Washington, D.C., spouting bogus claims about rampant crime in the nation’s capital, and hinted he could pursue the same with New York City.

Trump, who first floated the idea in February, brought up the takeover in the Oval Office when a reporter asked him who he thinks Republicans should support in the upcoming New York mayoral race. Trump said he’s “not getting involved” but went on to slam Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani as a “disaster” and “communist” who would be bad for the city.

“We have tremendous power at the White House to run places when we have to,” Trump then said before disclosing he’s already “testing” a plan to take over Washington.

“We’re thinking about doing it, to be honest with you. We want to. We want a capital that’s run flawlessly,” he said.

“We could run D.C. I mean, we’re looking at D.C. We don’t want crime in D.C. We want the city to run well,” he also said, adding that the city’s mayor, Democrat Muriel Bowser, is “working very closely” with White House chief of staff Susie Wiles.

A Brief Discussion About G-d.  G-d intervened to save Trump from an assassin’s bullet.  What was G-d’s message with those Texas floods?  End of brief discussion about G-d.

Black Nurses Claim Discrimination, Hostile Work Environment,  At Beebe.  There is both documentation and admission from Beebe officials that their claims have merit:

Their accounts − documented through recordings, emails and photographs, and shared with Delaware Online/The News Journal − suggest deeper systemic problems at the Sussex County health system, noted by what they describe as unclear employment roles, racial harassment and substandard patient care.

In addition to raising these issues internally, the two registered nurses filed formal complaints with state agencies and professional nursing organizations, citing misconduct at Beebe related to employment practices and patient care.

In a written statement to Delaware Online/The News Journal, Beebe Healthcare acknowledged that concerns had been raised and said it had investigated the issues, taking action where appropriate. The organization stated it had looked into “a concerning team member incident” and “implemented the appropriate corrective measures.” It also confirmed receiving concerns related to patient care.

During a virtual meeting with the nurses, which was recorded and later shared with Delaware Online/The News Journal, Beebe’s chief nursing officer acknowledged problems at the hospital and expressed a commitment to addressing the behavior the women experienced.

Both nurses also reported facing retaliation for speaking out, according to their filings with the Department of Labor. As of this reporting, Beebe has responded only to Hardy’s Department of Labor complaint, denying the claims of racial discrimination, substandard care and any retaliatory actions taken against her.

Good thing that Tiny Tony DeLuca and his paramour are no longer befouling their DOL office with their bodily fluids.  Meaning, hopefully, that these complaints won’t be shredded along with all the other civil rights complaints that came DeLuca’s way.  We’ll be watching.

Christina School Board Elects Monica Moriak As New Board President!  Somehow, this happened even though Resident of Pakistan Naveed Baqir was allowed to vote:

With a narrow 4-3 vote on Tuesday, members of the Christina Board of Education selected Monica Moriak as the new board president, marking a shift in dynamics for a district that has plagued by controversy for more than a year.

Under the tenure of Moriak’s predecessor, Donald Patton, the board saw the contentious firing of former Superintendent Dan Shelton, his subsequent lawsuit against the district and multiple board members, and an investigation by the Delaware Department of Justice for violating open meeting laws.

On Tuesday, the board also unanimously voted for Y. F. Lou to serve as vice president.

In selecting Moriak, Lou joined what in the past had often been a minority voting bloc on the school board that included Moriak, Doug Manley, and Amy Trauth.

Patton and fellow member Naveed Baqir voted for new board member Shannon Troncoso, who was serving in her first meeting since being elected in May and also voted for herself to lead the board.

Baqir will now be off the Board, not a moment too soon.
