A Trump-appointed federal judge put the kibosh on Trump’s plan to send the National Guard, any national guard, to Portland. We’ll see how long that lasts before the six SCOTUS ass-suckers overrule her.
Why do they keep ruling in Trump’s favor? Because they’re a-skeered. You know what happens to judges who rule against Derp Fuhrer? Ask the South Carolina jurist whose beachfront house burned to the ground Saturday, less than two weeks after she ruled the feds couldn’t mine the data on state voting rolls.
Old heads might remember the big N.C. Wyeth mural that graced the wall of the main branch of WSFS in Wilmington before the building was sold in 2007. The new owners promised to spare the artwork, but they didn’t promise to do a good job of it. His grandson, Jamie Wyeth, took possession of it and had it restored, and it now resides in a temperature-controlled barn on his property straddling the state line near Chadds Ford. The Brandywine River Museum plans to sponsor tours to see it soon.
The floor’s yours. Feel free to add your favorite example of Fascism on the March to the dungheap.

Snooze…. boring
What a great self-description.
Yes, great breaking news on the Wyeth story from TNJ. Fantastic job of journalism.
The NYT had the story back in August: https://www.nytimes.com/2025/08/21/arts/design/nc-wyeth-mural-wilmington-delaware.html
Totally missed it, I’ve been so immersed in Esteban Parra’s intimate retrospective on the John DuPont murder case.
I don’t subscribe to or read NYT, so I didn’t see it. I suppose the news peg is the Brandywine River Museum conducting tours.
Was Roberts ruling on presidential immunity the first move in the unitary presidential authority power grab? He is vying to usurp Roger Taney as the worst supreme court chief justice.
Certainly seems that way. The conservative project since Nixon has been establishing the unitary executive, and the fact that this executive is unfit for office on several levels isn’t going to derail it.
