  1. Spanberger out to a solid lead in Va.

  2. Spanberger now up by 40,000 with 10% of the vote in.

  3. Lots of Fairfax County came in. Spanberger margin now around 100K.

  4. AP Calls Va. for Spanberger. She’s the Governor-Elect. That’s a flip from R to D. Looks like the D’s will pick up something like 4 seats in Va’s House Of Delegates.

  5. Sherrill out to a big lead in NJ. NYTimes estimates that the outstanding vote is likely to be evenly-split between the two candidates.

If correct, it means that Sherrill will win a solid victory.

Although…it’s pretty clear that the early votes include mail ballots…

  6. Can’t quite call it yet, but it looks like Sherrill will win. She has about a 196,000 vote margin, and the NYTimes projects that there are likely more outstanding votes for Sherrill than for Ciattarelli.

Don’t see how tonight can be viewed as anything but a repudiation of Trump.

  7. The MoMo says:

    Will we know PA today?

  8. NYTimes projects that Sherrill will get about 55%.

  9. Mamdani winning big. Could get an outright majority.

Wonder what Schumer will say tomorrow.

    • mediawatch says:

Decent chance Schumer will say something like “Democrats got 92 percent of the vote.”

  10. Middlesex County just came in big for Sherrill.

    It’s over, Rover.

  11. AP declares Sherrill the winner in NJ.

I think some Rethugs might get serious about stopping the shutdown now.

    They got shut out tonight.

  12. Sometimes, the disaster lurks beneath the surface.

I went through all 100 House Of Delegates races in Virginia. The D’s appear poised to pick up anywhere from 8 to 12 seats tonight.

    That’ll leave a mark.
