Song of the Day 4/13: Donald Byrd, “Fallin’ Like Dominoes”

H/t Al Jackson

Donald Trump’s ongoing humiliation at the hands of Iran has revealed his weakness. Like any narcissist, he has to respond by looking tough. And what better way to look tough than firing someone? Hey, it worked on his TV show, where firing people convinced a millions gullible Americans that a six-time bankrupt was a savvy businessman.

So the members of his cabinet have to wonder if they’ll be the next domino to fall. Just the other day it was reported that Roger Stone had to intervene to prevent Trump from firing Tulsi Gabbard, who readers of our current Delaware Liberal poll tabbed as the most likely to walk the plank.

“Fallin’ Like Dominoes” appeared on Donald Byrd’s 1975 album “Places and Spaces,” one of the influential jazz fusion LPs he recored with the production team of Larry and Fonce Mizell. That’s Larry handling the lead vocal.
