Donald Trump Is An Existential Threat To The Country
In an unbelievable press conference today, Trump doubled down on his ‘both sides do it’ screed, decried the removal of Confederate statues, and engaged in rhetoric that could only be construed as inciting violence. Watch this whole thing as it and he degenerates, if you can:

You know what else has many sides? A swastika.
He must be removed from office. With what he did today, he guaranteed that blood will flow. I HAVE to think that at least some R’s will come to the same conclusion that I have.
I’m at work so I can’t watch this, mainly because I will start swearing. But I’ll hear it on the radio all the way home.
David Duke thanks Trump for today’s remarks:

ITMFA.
From The Hill:
The Republican National Committee is standing behind President Trump amid backlash from his Tuesday statement on the violence in Charlottesville, Va., RNC spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany said.
McEnany wrote in a tweet that the party supports what she called the president’s “message of love and inclusiveness,” insisting Trump’s remarks on Tuesday marked a strong rebuke of hate.
“President @realDonaldTrump once again denounced hate today,” she tweeted. “The GOP stands behind his message of love and inclusiveness!”
FWIW- nice looks from the Del Dems:
Delaware Democratic Party Chairman Erik Raser-Schramm issued the following statement following President Trump’s Tuesday afternoon comments regarding this weekend’s deadly events in Charlottesville, Va.:
Yesterday, Delaware spoke with a single, unified voice in denouncing the violence perpetrated by Nazis and white supremacists in Charlottesville, Va. last weekend.
Yesterday, Democrats and Republicans came together to put patriotism over party and make it clear that the racism, hate and reprehensible violence they propagate would not be tolerated in our state or on our watches.
Today, the President of the United States – a person who above all else must serve as the moral compass of our great nation – had the audacity to equate counter-protesters with the armed hate groups openly threatening the lives of black Americans, Jewish Americans, LGBTQ Americans and anyone else who looks and loves differently from them.
Today, the President of the United States sent an unmistakable signal to the most radical elements of the white supremacy movement that they should feel emboldened – and that the rest of America should be more tolerant of their views.
Today, the President of the United States showed, in the starkest of terms, why he is unfit to lead our great nation. There can be no more parsing of his words, no more question of his intent. What Republicans and Democrats alike condemned just yesterday, President Trump defended today.
Tonight, it is my hope that Republicans who rose to the occasion yesterday will do so again by clearly and unequivocally calling for the resignation of President Trump. Anyone who would defend the actions and beliefs of white supremacists is unfit to lead the United States of America. Now is the time for the Party of Lincoln to join us in that realization.
That IS a real good statement. Wonder if Erik wrote it himself or, if not, who did. That’s a superb statement.
My mouth dropped open several times watching the press conference. I have called Trump’s regime Nixon like in the past, will never do so again as Trump is in a league of shame all his own at this point. As noted David Duke loved it, dare say the KKK grand wizard gave it two scabrous thumbs up as well. Eight more rallies are planned, the police will do their best, but I suspect the age of political violence I have long feared is coming to pass and will not be easily stopped.
Hey there El Som, I wrote it, just had some copy editing help. You will be seeing a lot coming from me during my time as State Chair. Glad you liked it.
Waitaminnit! Didn’t I used to ghostwrite all of your stuff? Or is my mind playing tricks on me again?
At the State House? You would help me flesh out ideas and then I would run my final draft by you, it wasn’t ever a complete ghostwrite? haha You better check that mind of yours!
My mind has been checked out by experts. They have no clues either…
Good statement from the Chair of the Delaware Democratic Party.
I was going to attach the link to the statement from the Delaware Republican Party and elected leaders Greg Lavelle, Danny Short, Tom Wagner, and Ken Simpler denouncing the violence and denouncing Trump and his outrageous replies.
Of course that would require a statement from the Delaware Republican Party and elected leaders Greg Lavelle, Danny Short, Tom Wagner, and Ken Simpler denouncing the violence and denouncing Trump and his outrageous replies.
The Democrats who formed the KKK are long dead.
Quite a convincing argument you have there.
“Of course that would require a statement from the Delaware Republican Party and elected leaders Greg Lavelle, Danny Short, Tom Wagner, and Ken Simpler denouncing the violence and denouncing Trump and his outrageous replies.”
The pressure on these people to do so should start immediately. El Som or Jason should call their offices and ask what their comment is.
Went to the Delaware GOP website. This is what I found:

Went to the Party Facebook page. This is what I found:

Something tells me that we’re not getting anything of substance out of these guys…
The GOP site is “not currently available” now.
I know. I LOL’d.
