I hope Sen. Coons didn’t say “he’s qualified”. That is not and should not be the only criterion for an approval vote. Without his complete record we can’t know the degree to which his views are on the fringe of American jurisprudence thought but it is clear already that is where he is. Thus, this is disqualifying conduct, Senator. Demand, Senator Coons, that the hearings be delayed given the new legal status of our President and demand equal treatment in the process of delay from McConnell as he exercised with President Obama’s nominee. If that fails, a no vote is the only appropriate vote from Delaware.
