Great. Now I have to watch Oprah at 4.
The AP is reporting that Vice President-elect Joe Biden tried to silence Jill Biden during a taping of the Oprah Show at the Kennedy Center this afternoon after she let it slip that Joe was offered two jobs in a potential Obama administration back during his negotiations with Obama back during the summer of 2008. The jobs were that of Vice President and Secretary of State.
The vice president-elect tried to hush his wife as soon as the words came out of her mouth, with a loud “shhh!”
My recollection is that this is not news. I remember this being reported after Joe was selected as Vice President, and I think Joe himself even talked about it. I supposed he wanted to “hush” his wife now because he doesn’t want any division between himself and the incoming Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
I also believe that Joe spoke about this prior to his selection as VP. As far as Hillary goes she more than likel;y knew this and I don’t believe this will cause a problem between her and Joe. This is just another mole hill that the MSM would like to make a mountian out of
I think that this is news — his being Secretary of State was the common wisdom if either Hillary or Barack go into office (but certainly not news) for a long time.
But I could be wrong — I haven’t done much of a search for this.
Watching MSNBC now and they are attempting to start a fight between Joe and Hillary. What a bunch of asses
And I just watched the Oprah show and it turned out to be a pretty funny moment between husband and wife, not how it was described in the AP report.
I watched Oprah as well. DD is absolutely right, it was a funny moment between a husband and wife. And as mrs. nemski has told me over and over again, Jill was right.
He will be a disappointment in either position.
Obama will regret the choice.
Hehehe. Mike Protack lacks the ability to be gracious even at this late hour. Oh well.
I would tell Mike he is wrong, but deep down, he knows that already.
Mike Protack makes Jason330 look like a beaming ray of sunshine.
Not news.. everyone is considered for every position at one point if you are prominent enough. Clinton was on the short list for both positions also, so what’s the big deal.
I don’t see the big deal.
