President-Elect Biden Addresses the Nation and World on a Great Night for Wilmington

Filed in National by on November 8, 2020

There will be time enough for examining the new political terrain in Delaware, but for now I’m just going to relax and enjoy the moment.

We watched the speeches and fireworks/drones from the Outlets parking lot. It was wonderful. Wilmington looked awesome. The vibe was great.

Folks, the people of this nation have spoken. They have delivered us a clear victory. A convincing victory. A victory for we, the people.

We won with the most votes ever cast on a presidential ticket in the history of the nation: 74 million. Well, I must admit it surprised me. Tonight, we are seeing all over this nation, all cities and all parts of the country, indeed across the world, an outpouring of joy, of hope, renewed faith in tomorrow to bring a better day.

And I’m humbled by the trust and confidence you have placed in me. I pledge to be a president who seeks not to divide, but unify. Who doesn’t see red states and blue states, only sees the United States.

It is so utterly weird to hear a normal, inspiring, by-the-numbers but effective political speech now.

Yup. What would have been simple pablum a few years ago, now sounds like The Gettysburg Address.

I am amazed by the spontaneous celebrations in cities across the nation. The long national nightmare is almost over. There will be an adult in the White House. Boring? Hell yeah, but an adult.

Watching FOX and OAN this morning is a real trip through the looking glass.

President-Elect Trump is winning and it is self evident that “hundreds of thousands of votes” were fraudulent.

That Trump is saying this shit isn’t surprising. But that Graham, Ted Cruz and entire “news” networks are running with it is a little odd.
