Here we go bloggers, here we go!!! (clap, clap) Here we go bloggers, here we go!!! (clap, clap) Here we go bloggers, Here we go bloggers, here we go!!! (clap, clap) Here we go bloggers, here we go!!! (clap, clap)

Sorry…I got a bit carried away. No then, what’s up in the world of journalism that people actually read???

Dave is protesting the DSTP scores and bending them to his argument that governments are wasteful and bad at doing things like invading countries that didn’t do anything to us in the first place…er…I mean bad at educating our younguns. Meanwhile Kilroy reminds us that is was “the “business round table” behind DSTP and the dumb ass 3 tiered diplomas and it the same “business round table” behind Rodel’s Vision 2015. So go get all snarky on the business round table yo!

BTW – I’ll tell you what I’m protesting over at FSP. I’m protesting the long-winded blow hards over there who can’t say anything in under five boring ass, 20 sentence paragraphs.

Dana’s post on how the Pentagon protesting that Senator Hilary Clinton has made public statements about us leaving in Iraq (and thereby undermining our effort) goes to show how completely our military has been co-opted by Bush loyalist and empty-headed right-wing ideologues. I’m not that old but I remember a time when the military was non-partisan.

Nancy runs with Jim Bryant’s protest of the suck-ass News Journal’s coverage of Common Cause, to wit:

AFTER TEN YEARS WORKING WITH COMMON CAUSE, AND I DID NOT ATTEND ALL THE MEETINGS, THE NEWS JOURNAL NEVER ONCE PUBLISHED AN ARTICLE ON THEIR ACTIVITY BUT WHEN THERE IS DISAGREEMENT WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION, IT MAKES FRONT PAGE ON BOTH SECTIONS. THE NEWS JOURNAL ARTICLE “COMMON CAUSE flap linked to ’06 race” is pure crap

Can I get an Amen to that? WTF Doug Williams? The actual important work Common Cause has done over the years was not newsworthy, but when you see an opening to take a shot, you are all over it. Okay, I see how it is…

Mike stood in line to get his Harry Potter fix, but now he is trying to play it off like he is a muggle.

If you read Joe’s most recent post at Merit Bound Alleyyou might come away thinking that the MSM has a double standard when it comes to how it treats Democratic candidates for President vs. Republican candidates for President. Oh and by the way Mitt Romney is a liar, to wit:

Well, “communications consulting” is how presidential candidate Mitt Romney recorded $300 in payments to a California company that describes itself as “a mobile beauty team for hair, makeup and men’s grooming and spa services.”

You know, sometimes I just don’t get Hube. The guy claims to be a libertarian, but every power grab or extra-constitutional bullshit Bush can dream up is okay by him. It does not add up.

Duffy had one of the best posts of the year (by accident). Now he has a youtube commercial for an SUV specifically designed to let Blackwater mercenaries indiscriminately kill even more Iraqi civilians.

Speaking of Iraqi civilians, Bishop Paul Smith says that Senator Obama would be humanitarian disaster for Iraq. (Unlike, you know…George Bush.) If Obama drove one of those Blackwater SUVs I bet Paul would like him.

Speaking of indiscriminately killing Iraq civilians,
props to Ryan
for reminding me of a time in my youth when we spent our money, creativity and national energy in more productive ways. And yet – Ryan just has to wreck the moment, because he is a lowlife shithead like that.

If you want to get even more depressed about our once great democracy’s demise read Tommywonk and Kavips. Of course, you might like having a dictatorship. In that case read tommywonk and Kavips to cheer yourself up.

Mike still wondering around up north oblivious to the fact that our experiment in Democracy has ended. Wait till he finds out!! Oh snap!!

KarmicJay’s blogis like a zen garden that I have to step into every once in a while to chill out.

At the soapbox, Mat has closes us out on today’s Around the Horn Friday (c) with a picture that speaks 1,000 word. I love it. I also happen to love Nancy’s comment: Next time we need to have a dual march – one simultaneously at his beach home.

Great idea Nancy. I think we have a bunch of Francophile Surrender Monkey’s down in Lewes who would be up for that.

PEACE OUT!!!

  1. noted: Jim may have thrown a bit of hyperbole into that rant but more power to him! WNJ often turned to John Flaherty in his role as CC DE lobbyist, as we all know.

Right. By me pointing out how hysterical lefties get at every move Bush makes, and demonstrating that what he has done is at least certainly no worse (actually, even benign) when compared to the actions of his predecessors (especially Democrats), it somehow is a tacit admission that I think Bush’s actions are “OK.”

Since I’ve written many more posts critical of the admin. than you’ve ever written about your own party, your credibility in this realm is close to nil. At least attempt to address how the actions of past presidents in times of war were “OK” but Bush’s somehow are not. And don’t clamor about “Hube is always bringing up what Democrats did.” It’s called precedent and presidents use it just as the SCOTUS does. If you believe they cannot, then don’t bitch about the Roberts court “doing their own thing” and ruling on the law as they see it.
