Filed in National by on October 2, 2021

REV speaks with Kelly who has some good ideas about how to fix Wilmington.

I don’t follow Wilmo politics very closely, but I found it interesting how Kelly threads the needle between being an old school Irish pol and a forward looking progressive.

Former city councilman, mayoral candidate, and long-time Wilmington activist joins Rob in the bunker to talk about his latest op-ed in the News Journal on how the city of Wilmington should spend American Rescue Plan funds, and what that means for an approach to governing that differs from what we have now.

Wilmington is a dump and getting worse. Even Trolley has gotten trashy. The electeds there shouldn’t qualify for student government, let alone running a city. Kelly included. But that’s probably why they ran for office, can’t get real jobs.
