Of course Chris Coons will continue going on, and they will still get credentials for shit. The jolly game will continue apace. It is all a fucking joke.

In the largest strike happening right now in the United States, 3,000 student workers at New York City’s Columbia University are on their fifth week of strike. On December 8th the student workers are called on other faculty members to help them shut down the university. Last Monday, many Columbia faculty members did walk out of their classes in a show of solidarity. “Graduate student labor is the invisible labor of the university,” says Jack Halberstam, professor of gender studies and English at Columbia University. “We’re bankrupting a whole generation in order to provide more profits for the university.”
Columbia could easily pay all of the Graduate students a living wage, and buy them each an apartment. It ended 2021 with an operating surplus of $150 million AND an endowment right now that is over $14 billion. Thats $14,000,0000,000

I wonder what it would take to get a rise out of the Democratic Party ?
If a third party could actually be viable in America I’d imagine a dozen would form tomorrow, alas it is not meant to be. I would leave the Dems and join a Progressive Party in a heartbeat (fetal or not), I suspect we all would. What is needed to get the attention of the current Democratic party? Money, or rather the lack there of.
Supporting left-leaning third parties is a good way to elect Republicans. Better to win Dem primaries with great candidates.
Notice Republicans who feel their candidates aren’t strongly conservative enough don’t start third parties. If disaffected Repubs had started a Tea Party party or a Freedom Caucus party, this would be the second term of Hillary Clinton and a solid Dem Senate.
And, in case it hasn’t been noticed, Delaware has been the point of the spear on winning Dem primaries with more progressive candidates. The more conservative Dems in Delaware see themselves being swamped by younger, more energetic and more progressive colleagues.
Yep, we’ve got a real strong grassroots progressive movement in Delaware. Progressives have won quite a few contested races the last two cycles.
Not only is that trend likely to continue, but I think you’re gonna see more retirements from so-called ‘moderates’ this cycle as well.
Entrenched incumbents who have gotten lazy just won’t have the fire to face relentless challenges. We have likely seen the first ‘retirement’ from Andria Bennett. I predict she won’t be the last.
