I can’t think of anything more Delaware Way than a worker benefit paid out of worker paychecks. If we aren’t careful we could get “paid” childcare or “paid” tuition using the same funding model. But #GettingThingsDone!
That’s how social insurance programs work. Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare are “Delaware Way?”
An individual mandate may be bearable for the first few benefit programs but is not an unlimited resource.
