‘Bulo’s Fave Tunes: February 2023
Experience the thrill of discovering new (at least to me) artists. This month has ’em.
This band is not new, but they’re always relevant:
My kind of country:
Not sold on the song yet, but I like the lyric. And, it’s Jason Isbell:
Discoveries like THIS is why I keep listening:
One more, since I can’t decide which one I like best:
Who sez I ignore
The dance floor? (Could this be Nathan Arizona’s fave of the month?…):
Didn’t realize I was pining for Korean shoegaze music till I just heard Parannoul’s “Parade.” The Texas music of the Shootouts also hit a sweet spot (I have far-ranging sweet spots). The U.S. Girls song is fun even if the dance floor is now only in my mind. Actually, that’s pretty much where it’s always been. I’d like to join Erik Vincent Huey for a drink. I liked the darkish urgency of the Jason Isbell song from the start. Whitney is a band I always seem to almost like a lot. Not crazy about the others, but interesting to check out.
BTW, Erik Vincent Huey’s producer/video guest star is none other than Eric ‘Roscoe’ Ambel. The Del-Lords is a band that shoulda been famous.
