Charges Dropped Against Driver Who Opened Fire on I-95 in Miami

The driver’s attorney said that Florida’s Stand Your Ground Law ensured his client’s actions were reasonable self-defense.

The Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office has dropped charges against Eric Popper, the driver who pulled out a handgun and shot at another driver through his own car on I-95 in Miami-Dade County. The road rage incident occurred in June 2021 but took a wild twist in January 2022. Dashcam footage from Popper’s Toyota Venza was given to the media. Popper’s attorney said the footage showed his client’s actions were in self-defense. The state attorney’s office agreed.

Some once nice places (Florida, the UK, Arizona) are in the process of being completely wrecked by right wing lunacy. In Florida, for example, one angry unhinged Karen can remove a book from every school in the state.

I guess I’m wondering if, like some drunks, they’ll need to get to rock bottom before they snap out of it.

Yep, “Meatball”, having “fixed” Florida, is on on a mission to “bring the good news” of Fascism to the rest of the nation. Will it work? In the old south it will work like gangbusters, and those that yearn for a return to chattel slavery will applaud him as unto the second coming. Having said that as a vocalist and performer he’s total crap on a mic, never makes eye contact and seems ill at ease at any given moment. Still say Der Florida Fuhrer will not translate outside of the deep south, and that Trump’s base will sour on him, if for no other reason then that he’s not orange and plants people on the sacred land we call a golf course.

I agree with Tucker Carlson that global warming is a mixed blessing. On the plus side, it will submerge Florida and render the Arizona desert uninhabitable.
