how did this happen at a christian school? didnt jesus stand in front of the bullets and deflect them from hitting anyone? didnt he use his heat vision and melt the gun before any shots could be fired?
now i want some ahole christian idiot to tell me it was just these peoples time for god to call them home. really, so to do so he sent a gunman with a weapon of war to take care of it
I hear you, but this is really unnecessary right now. Poking fun at these people and their religious beliefs does nothing. This is about guns and people’s easy access. Not Jesus, Muhammad, or Abraham
Yes and no. American style Christianity is really at the heart of the problem.
This is exactly the time!!! All we do is hear about F’ing prayers. It’s time to start talking directly to the bs all these politicians keep spewing. The Tennessee congressman who reps that district had his Christmas card with him and his family holding weapons of war. Remember they want to defund public education so they can start indoctrinating kids in their Christian schools – schools just like this!!! The guns are what the Christian loving right so fiercely protect.
Yes. It is extremely ghoulish for the Governor to call for prayers which, at best, are pointless.
I disagree. Religious beliefs are a form of irrationality that, alone among forms of irrationality, are (because of deliberate misinterpretation) protected by the Constitution.
This. Is. Wrong.
I’m not going to pretend it’s not wrong just because lots of pathetic people can’t face a cold universe without it.
You spelled your name, “shit for brains,” wrong.
Gawd did not save them, he never does and never will. No explanation of why the shooter gathered up an arsenal and opened fire, dare say that yet again mental illness is part of it. When the collective genius of the politicians closed the mental hospitals they unleashed the first wave of the homeless and a second wave of insane criminal behavior. Can speak first person to this, my brother became “certifiable” (Remember that one?) in his mid twenties, had lots of guns and lots of “Police Contact” to go with it. They took his guns, and I found the rest. That was a close one. Trust me.
Really upsetting to hear that it’s a woman this time. Lord knows we have enough angry white men in this country
“The suspect entered Covenant School with at least two assault-type rifles and a handgun, officials said.”
Purchased legally? That’s always the next shoe to drop.
For me, the horror of these episodes tends to turn my mind reflexively towards mitigating rationalizations. Why this will not happen near me. Why this place was a unique. And why this (utterly normal occurrence) is some kind of strange outlier.
Also, Since 2022, Tennessee has been a “no permit required” state.
All gun owners are law-abiding up until the moment they murder a bunch of elementary school children.
Lee on the call described the bill as a component of his “public safety agenda.”
“That includes criminal justice reform. It includes support for law enforcement,” Lee said. “This particular piece of legislation not only protects the Second Amendment, it actually creates a safer environment in our state.”
Sickening.

The Republican Rep. from the district where the shooting occurred, posing with his wife and children for Christmas with assault rifles. If that’s not grooming, I don’t know what is.
He’s the same guy who embellished his resume — https://www.businessinsider.com/andy-ogles-tennessee-congress-republican-george-santos-resume-lies-2023-2 — as “a successful entrepreneur and real estate investor, a tax policy expert, and the former leader of an international nonprofit rescuing sex trafficking victims,” when he was none of those things.
He also lied about his college degree — https://thehill.com/homenews/house/3876079-tennessee-republican-acknowledges-misstating-his-college-degree/ — saying “I previously stated that my degree from MTSU was in International Relations. When I pulled my transcript to verify, I realized I was mistaken. My degree is in Liberal Studies.”
Ive completely changed my stance. its not the guns. they are not the problem with the school massacres. its the politicians. imagine strong and willful politicians saying this cant happen anymore and then doing something about it. guns dont kill kids, republicans do
