I’m sure the sober centrists think “both sides” are at fault
Conservatives on Guns: In a country of 330 million people bad people are going to be prone to violence and get murder-y from time to time. So we, “the good ones” need more guns.
Liberals on Guns: in a country of 330 million people someone is going to be prone to violence and the tools of mass murder are easily available. So maybe we should make it a little less easy to get guns.
Guns on people: There are more of us than them, so everyone should have one, and that should keep everyone safe or happy. And if the states would give us more shooting ranges for target practice, we wouldn’t have to improve our skills in back yards, schools, nightclubs and shopping malls.
Gee, almost makes me want to sing the whiny anthem of the mad gunners: “Oh Precious Guns!”. Nothing will happen as “zero tolerance” now applies to reforming gun laws, frequent slaughters or not. We let it happen,we deserve the Uvalde’s, Columbines and hundreds of others. And more coming every day.
