The DEGOP tries to cover its tracks by deleting its School Board endorsements page.

I should have taken a screenshot of that page when I first saw it.  Anyway, here is the Town Square article from April 22nd discussing the DEGOP brazen partisan efforts in these non-partisan elections.

A new Supreme Court case seeks will soon legalize assault weapons in all 50 states

The Supreme Court could hand down a decision any day now in National Association for Gun Rights v. City of Naperville, a case that could legalize assault weapons and high-capacity magazines in all 50 states.

The case challenges a Naperville, Illinois, ordinance and a similar Illinois state law, both of which ban assault weapons, which the state law defines to include certain semiautomatic rifles such as AR-15s and AK-47s. Additionally, the state law prohibits the sale of a “large capacity ammunition feeding device,” which the statute defines as long gun magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition, or handgun magazines that hold more than 15 bullets.

The linked Town Hall article is from last year. I’ve made the same mistake myself when searching for this year’s Republican endorsements – that’s how well they’ve kept the party endorsements out of the press. They seem to understand that Republican endorsements will be used as an anti-voter guide.

“America is a failed state”, I could not agree more. This is nothing new, the only difference is that the politicians chucked “Decorum” and “Comity” long ago and now just fight it out in public. The same for the supreme court as raw and obvious politics rule the day. Ain’t pretty, is it? As for the daily gun slaughter the Republicans now seek to deify the precious AR15 with the obviously corrupt supreme court. Cool, let both the Republicans and the supreme court be tied to the coming slaughter that we all know is coming.

Where else in the world, other than perhaps Mogadishu, would the government be required to put out a “How to Escape From a Restaurant that Becomes a Venue for Mass Murder” PSA?

It takes some sophistication to understand these are GOP candidates. There is just enough astroturf on that site to make it misleading for the low-information voter sincerely looking for a comparative voting guide.

  4. Here’s what the Justice Department has charged Santos with. From the NYTimes:

“Representative George Santos, the Republican whose pivotal victory in New York was soon followed by revelations that he had falsified his biography on the campaign trail, has been charged by federal prosecutors in a wide-ranging indictment accusing him of wire fraud, money laundering, stealing public funds and lying in federal disclosure forms.”

District 3 Councilman Mark Schaeffer of Lewes TRIBUTES SHENANIGANS?

“Council President Mike Vincent has proposed that the council’s rules of procedure be amended to provide a path forward to issue them. Vincent said it’s important for council members to be aware of all tributes issued on behalf of council.
[Schaeffer] regularly hands out tributes to worthy groups and individuals in his district. “I believe any individual or organization who achieves or has achieved or accomplished an extraordinary or noteworthy achievement should be recognized,” he said.
“I pray that after reflection, we as a group would move on from this charade toward the many more pressing and important issues facing Sussex County,” he also said.
