Yet again, Donald Trump has backed away from yet another threat to bomb Iran even more than before, but this time there’s a practical reason: Defense contractors can’t build the anti-attack weapons fast enough. It’s gotten so bad that the military is no longer trying to shoot down every Iranian drone, making their iron dome more like an iron colander.
Incredible, isn’t it – a trillion-dollar defense budget and they still ran out of bombs. They probably tried to warn Trump about this, but they forgot to put it into easily understood animal drawings.
“Running on Empty” is the title track of Browne’s 1977 album recorded on tour, not only in concert but in hotel rooms and on the tour bus. Highlighted by David Lindley’s slide guitar, it reached No. 11 as a single, the third-highest chart position Browne ever achieved. The song predates the music video age, so his official website put together this montage of photos taken on that 1977 tour to accompany it.
