Limbaugh has more power than Cheney

Filed in National by on March 23, 2009

I find it AMAZING that Congressmen, potential governors and senate candidates all GOP’ers went ON RECORD to tell Cheney to STFU and go back under his rock. Yet, every time a Congressmen or Senator says something negative about Rush Limbaugh in 24 hours they are recanting.

Rep. John Duncan Jr. (R-Tenn.) said, “He became so unpopular while he was in the White House that it would probably be better for us politically if he wouldn’t be so public…But he has the right to speak out since he’s a private citizen.”

Who is more unpopular with the American public: Limbaugh or Cheney?

Let me get this right the Repuk’s keep saying Bush kept us safe No Attacks since 9-11. Did we all forget the Anthrax thing another attack on this country where no arrest have been made. Oh yes they tried to pin this on a dead man now even that turned out to be false.

Talk about a paradigm shift. The rise of Limbaugh and the fall of Cheney? Now, I’m no Cheney fan (to say the least!), but shouldn’t he rate higher in Republican Land than Rush – even if it’s only on the “taken serious” scale?

    Pandora,

All it says to me is that Republicans still don’t get it. It’s not the messenger that’s the (only) problem, it’s the message.

UI: Agreed. And that’s not going to be easy to fix, because most Republicans take their tax-cut mantra on faith. You might as well tell them that the Resurrection is just a fairy tale, and that they don’t actually have a personal relationship with Jesus.

All this is happening because Conservatives celebrate stupid. They have elevated stupidity and religion to dangerous levels – Palin, Joe the Plumber, Beck, etc. Believing trumps knowing.
