Breaking News: Delaware Liberal Scoops the News Journal

I don’t want to toot my own horn (my wife says I do it too often as it is) but I would just like to point out that we (me) here at Del lib had the scoop first on Widener U being a part of the student loan lending scandal.

I would like to think that the NJ came here first, got the idea to maybe do some research into a pretty big scandal affecting a well renowned local college, checked with their editors that the story was worth their time, the editors got back to them a day later after checking with Widener to make sure they were ok with them printing something negative about them, Widener said sure so the editors told their boss that WU was ok with it, the “reporter” did their research, went to sleep for the night, wrote the article, sent it to the editor, the editor edited with the President of Widener, checked back at Del Lib to see if we had anything new, we didn’t, then they printed it.

My guess is I’m about 90% accurate with how things went over on 141, the past 2 days.
