The two are not mutually exclusive.

Governor Romney sees that the will is not there to push for a constitutional amendment, so in lieu of that, he believes states should have the right to decide on their own. When the political landscape is right for pushing an amendment through, he will.

A constitutional amendment ain’t gonna happen. Most people, and states too, don’t want a demonizing “Runnaway slaveWomen Act” of 2012 that force the ladies to criss-cross the country for a medical proceedure….

Why is abortion an election issue anyway? It has no relevance to governance. Oh wait, I know why! It’s a wedge, so single-issue retards will vote for politicians that really don’t have their best interests in mind….

How exacty would Flipp “allow” the states to decide? Would he get to be the Decider?

    My apologies to all:

When the Bush propaganda machine cranked up both the volume and focus on Kerry’s flip flops, which once explained, actually made Kerry a better candidate, I said I would never be part of such tactics. Better instead to focus on the issues.

Looking over some of my more recent posts on Romney, alas, I too have fallen into the same trap. Again, once explained, the candidate becomes a better person for for the trial……..

Considering how each of us has flip-flopped occasionally over important decisions in our own pasts, ie. significant others, investments, political parties, etc, it is silly to use “the standard of consistency” to determine character and worthiness.

Better instead, to focus on what he will do once in office. Based on that criteria, Romney doesn’t seem to have much of a chance. His catering to the wishes of the far Right will perhaps end up causing him to rival Mondale’s record for the worst Electoral College trouncing of a presidential contender.

    I agree with Kavips.

Romney is right to embrace his inner flip-floppiness. Turn it into an asset and shove the fact that he is all over the place on every issue down Fred Thompsons loose turkey skin-looking yap.
