  1. Delaware Dem says:

Is this for real? God help Smyrna.

  2. jason330 says:

I’m working out so as to lessen the horror. BTW – I still think that this is GOP wishful thinking. Castle is all they’ve got. This sticker is like someone clinging to a lounge chair pad after a ship wreck.

  3. Castle vs O’Donnell in the primary. Talk about choosing between a Douche and a Turd Sandwich.

  4. I think this will be a test of whether the DE GOP has gone the way of the national GOP. Will they nominate the moderate who has a great chance of winning or will they go with the purer wingnut? Plus, I think I’d pay to watch O’Donnell debate Castle.

  5. I think you folks were at a different event, there was no announcement and if you rest your ‘reporting’ on stickers you won’t be getting any Pulitzer Prize.

The negative categorization of Mr Castle is completely out of line and is reflective of the mediocrity of your argument.

    Mike Protack

  6. jason330 says:

So did that floor nomination happen Mikey?

  7. Delaware Dem says:

We were at a different event.

  8. Thanks for the update, MP. So, Castle didn’t announce he was running for Senate? Yes, I could see stickers as someone practicing wishful thinking, definitely. None of the DL bloggers attacked Castle in this thread. Only one commenter.

  9. I bet the three time failed GOP nominee for Givernor thought this was a great sentence:

The negative categorization of Mr Castle is completely out of line and is reflective of the mediocrity of your argument.

    lmao

Protack seems very testy today — perhaps Smitty did nominate him for vice chair of the Dems — from the floor of the repub convention, of course.

  11. Art Downs says:

I saw one of these paper buttons at the State GOP Convention. It was modified by a bar sinister.

Who would do such an act if political sacrilege?

  12. I’m confused. Did Castle say he was running for the Senate or not?

  13. nemski says:

I understand that there was one grief counselor for every three delegates at the DE GOP convention.

  14. Delaware Dem says:

    Art,

How was the sticker modified again? Bar sinister? What does that mean? I thankfully was not at the GOP convention to see it.

  15. liberalgeek says:

Ahh. A bar sinister is what we peons would refer to as a “Not” symbol. As in the No Smoking symbol.

  16. So, there were “Not Castle for Senate” stickers at the convention?

  17. cassandra_m says:

Yes, the slash line that goes from top right to bottom left through something you are to stay away from.

  18. liberalgeek says:

I’m betting that that sticker adorned the bosom of one Christine O’Donell…

  19. LG,

We’ll have to ask Mike Matthews about that. I hear he’s an expert on Ms. O’Donnell’s bosom.

  20. Delaware Dem says:

WOW. If Castle runs, what a fun primary it will be. Hehehehe. I am excited just thinking about it. The batshit crazy contingent (i.e. David Anderson) think O’Donnell is the superior candidate. Only comedy will result.

  21. I’m with you, DD. I almost want Castle to run just to see the Castle-O’Donnell race.

  22. R Smitty says:

Sigh, no, no nomination from the floor. Rather routine day. That certainly would have caused excitement as I prepped myself to stand in opposition when they would have requested any against. Here is my brief recap with commentary on my swings and misses at my informants’ pitches.

  23. R Smitty says:

Oh, as far as Art’s comments are concerned, Castle isn’t Libertarian enough, he certainly commented to that effect on our blog. The “paper” as he calls it wasn’t doctored. These were actual pins that a few people had on, but there wasn’t any concerted distribution.

  24. I am sorry to offend our Honorable Representative with a comparison to a South Park sketch.

Maybe if our Honorable Representative actually took some time out of his busy day to represent his constituents, there wouldn’t have been the occasion to compare him to such comedic material on a website that continually calls our Honorable Representative out for being a puppet for those who tell him how to cast his votes.
