The chart below shows the demographics of uninsured Americans. Can anyone tell me which age group has the best coverage, and why? Hint: This group also has the most health care needs.

The next chart I want to see is the one that compares Americans to members of Congress.

USA is #1!!!!!
(When it comes to life expectance after age 72. It is the only health category in which we lead the world. Hurray for Geezers on life support!!)
It’s interesting. Republicans try to scare us with horror stories from Canada (just glossing over our own horror stories) and we already have a public option of health insurance that works pretty well.
The simplest public option is “Medicare for everybody.”
A public option could be implemented very nicely over time by incrementally lowering the age of Medicare eligibility.
That spike looks nasty, but remember it is cheap to insure 25 year olds.
That spike indicates that the young don’t think they need health insurance as much as the elderly, and indeed they don’t, except to cover catastrophic injuries or diseases.
Nevertheless, health insurance should be mandated anyway, so the young can contribute to the care of the elderly, and then be cared for likewise when they become elderly, as any civilized nation would want of and for their citizens.
Pandora: “The next chart I want to see is the one that compares Americans to members of Congress.”
Right, and after that I would like to see the chart that compares Americans to other developed nations.

Nice Comrade. The collective salutes your commitment to the glorious five year plan.
Well, it is a plan, Jason! What’s yours?
I’m kidding. I’m down with the socialism.
