Final Destination

You know the movie series “Final Destination,” where a group of friends get off a plane at the last second before it explodes on take off, thus saving their lives, although their lives were not saved, since “Death’s Design” picked them off one by one?

Well, maybe there is something to that:

Johanna Ganthaler a retiree from the Bolzano-Bozen province, was on vacation in Brazil with her husband Kurt when the pair miraculously missed the doomed flight to Paris. But their luck ran out on an Austrian road earlier this week when their car swerved into the path of an oncoming truck outside the town of Kufstein, the Times (U.K.) reported.

Yes, they’re dead.

I heard this on the radio yesterday! That report said the husband was also in the accident, but in critical condition, not dead.

    What crazy fate.

Hmm, by this reasoning, any World Trade Center employees who didn’t go to work on Sept. 11th, should be dead by now.

One of my favorite Seinfeld lines is “There are no big coincidences and small coincidences, there are only coincidences”.
