Offshore Wind Leases Issued

Filed in National by on June 24, 2009

NYT Reporting….

Kicking off what it called “a new day for energy production in the United States,” the Obama administration has issued five offshore exploration leases for wind energy production.

This is the first time the federal government has issued offshore wind leases, and the decision comes after the administration papered over regulatory infighting among various agencies in charge of energy development. The leases cover areas 6 to 18 miles off New Jersey and Delaware. More information can be found here.

I’ll have to read Tommywonktoday to figure out what this means on the ground,,,,er….ocean.

Additional Thought: This is a great way for us to support reform in Iran. Deprive Khamenei of oil revenue.

Look at george V trying to raise the level of the discourse around here.

    Thanks for reading!

Actually, even by Hube’s admission, breast feeding is statistically proven to produce higher intelligence in those who were fed.

I will say, though, Jason, you should have stopped by now, ‘k?

I am guessing a product of Delaware public education, right?
Oh, and on that point, troll, go fuck yourself. That is such a tired and intellectually-empty line about education. While I am both a charter supporter and a public ed supporter, it’s stupid and shallow talking point comments like yours that leads the angry mob against charters even being an option.

    You punk-ass elitist.

    Oh, I forgot: 😉

You guys would be interested in knowing who writes these comments. Closeby
Didn’t we tell DV not to do this from work in the first 90 days?

  5. jason330 says:

This isn’t even very good trolling. I think you are supposed to stay on message. The cartoon was just silly, not pointed or really funny.

You were off to a good start too. Oh well.

George: Good work for a rookie, but as trolls for this site go, you’ve got a lot of work to do to break into the top ranks.

  7. anonone says:

Well, he did use the word “blather” in a post about wind energy, so I’ll give him a point for staying on-topic and another point for subtlety (although both were by accident, I am sure).

Sorry everyone. Looks like we had a spammer running wild in here. Hopefully it will be resolved happily for all.

  10. RSmitty says:

Off topic – GEEK! Do you respond to your messages, or am I supposed to pay some sort of tariff?

GV/NW was a spammer? Usually they’re bots. Someone was going through all that trouble to individually post spam? Sounds so Protackian.

  11. anonone says:

I didn’t see any links with their posts, either.

    Were they selling bottled Virulence?

  12. TommyWonk says:

Off topic? I see only one comment that’s on topic.

  13. RSmitty says:

You’re missing key ingredients, TW. The since-deleted spam comments had us all gooped up. Although, I’m thinking the “spammer” was someone close to DL…possibly someone trying out a new-fangled wireless tool and its ability to post and comment…and was being a tool (/snark) with his new tool.

Speaking of tools, Geek, where in the eff are you? Did Sanford leave you behind in Argentina?

  14. Delaware Dem says:

You hit the nail on the head, RSmitty.

RSmitty…. LG is working against an iron clad deadline of July 1 to have Delaware Liberal 3.0 up and running. So he is busy.
